I saw a nice activity during the PE (Idræt) lesson at school; a lesson with integrative learning.
The teacher had spread papers all over the floor of the sport hall.
The pupils, by groups of two or three, had to go to the teacher; the teacher would give the group a number (higher than 10, less than 100) and the pupils had then to run and find the correct number, turn the paper and watch what was on the other side. They had to remember what they had seen and run back to the teacher to tell him what it was.
The aim was to make the pupils recognize the numbers (and that was real challenge for some of them!).
I found this activity particularly interesting as the integrated learning (example: use a physical activity in PE class to work a mathematic skill) is, for me, a very good and very effective way of learning. But it is not often used by the teachers in Belgium.
